Giraffe Manor Kenya

A unique family home opened into a private retreat set in 12 acres of private land, 5,800ft above sea level. Initially built in 1932, Giraffe Manor came under new ownership in the 1970s when some highly endangered Rothschild giraffes were taken in as part of a conservation project run by the AFEW (African Fund for Endangered Wildlife).

Since then, the Rothschild giraffes have thrived, alongside warthog, dik dik, waterbuck and hundreds of bird species such as weaver birds, sunbirds and hornbills. Giraffe Manor is the only place in the world where you can share your breakfast with a giraffe as they feed from the windowsills. Children of all ages are welcome at Giraffe Manor.

Giraffe Manor

A stay at Giraffe Manor offers a truly unique and exclusive boutique experience, and a bucket-list breakfast experience alongside the world's tallest mammals. Once a highly endangered species, the Rothschild's giraffe has now successfully increased in numbers in the wild. Giraffe Manor has been a part of a breeding programme that has contributed to this. Built in 1932, giraffes have been roaming the manor's lawns since the 1970s when the first orphaned Rothschild’s giraffe was adopted.
