The resort comprises of wooden chalets dotted around a lake amongst naturally manicured gardens (with over 150 different orchid species) and rolling hills, it is the ideal place to relax at the start or end of your holiday.

Watch orangutans from the lodges’ garden and explore Sandakan's lively attractions, including the well-known Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Enjoy a wildlife safari along the Kinabatangan River, an idyllic haven surrounded by lush jungles.

Sepilok Nature Resort is in the tropical Borneo Rainforest ideally situated near Sandakan, the gateway to Sabah's ecotourism destinations in Malasyia.

How to get to Sepilok Nature Resort

Upon arrival at Sandakan airport, you will be met and privately transferred for 25 minutes to Sepilok Nature Resort.

  • The timber chalets are set around a beautiful natural lake and each has a private veranda with fantastic jungle or lake views.
  • Each comfortable chalet is air conditioned and has a private bathroom with hot and cold running water.
  • The charismatic main lodge is well presented with a restaurant, lounge, sundeck and covered beer terraces.
  • Children welcome but there are no facilities.
