Angama Mara Lodge Kenya

suspended in mid-air

‘Angama' is Swahili for ‘suspended mid-air’ which perfectly describes this unique camp. Each glorious glass fronted tented suite appears to be suspended in mid-air, floating above the Mara Triangle with uninterrupted panoramas of the Mara plains and beyond.

Located where the romantic ‘Ngong Hills’ scenes were filmed in Out of Africa, the inspiration from this camp has been drawn from this classic safari era, but with fresh, contemporary design. Angama’s location is almost unbeatable for prime game viewing, either out on safari or from your tented suite. The suites have been decorated to a truly high standard with a blend of both African and European influences.

Wake up to hot-air balloons sailing past and enjoy 180-degree views of the game-rich Mara below. You will have direct access to the exclusive Mara Triangle for safari activities and private picnics in the iconic ‘Out of Africa’ picnic spot.
