M/V Ortelieus

The MV Ortelius is a polar expedition vessel originally built for the Russian Academy of Science in 1989.

With an ice-class rating of UL1 (equivalent to 1A), it is well-suited for navigating through solid one-year ice and multi-year pack ice, making it perfect for expeditions in both the Arctic and Antarctic regions.

Accommodating 116 passengers, the ship offers comfortable cabins, two restaurants, a bar, and a sauna. Its small passenger size allows for flexible itineraries focused on wildlife, with plenty of time spent ashore.

The ship is equipped with 11 Zodiacs for quick and easy exploration, and it is manned by an experienced crew, ensuring a high-quality adventure in the polar wilderness.
