From 6500 per personOften referred to as the ‘grizzly ship’ or 'grizzly cruiser' there are no prizes for guessing as to what the aim of a trip on this exclusive ship is. Even its name Ursus is Latin for bear. This cruiser ship is a refurbished crab fishing boat and can accommodate just eight passengers along with its experienced and knowledgeable crew.
This intimate cruiser ship can often be found sailing on the waters of coastal Katmai National Park Alaska.
There are just four cabins on the M/V Ursus which can accommodate a maximum of eight passengers. Simply appointed, there is plenty of space for facilities and activities, and friendly crew ensure that you get the personal and unique experience that you can expect from a trip on-board this cruiser.
The real focus of your time on this ship is to get close, unique experiences with the abundance of wildlife found in Katmai National Park. The grizzly bears are the highlight of many guest’s trips, and very few people will have this opportunity of close up eye-level encounters with these impressive creatures in their natural habitat.
All your meals are included during your stay on the M/V Ursus; the freshest ingredients are used for your gourmet meals. Each day the experienced chef will prepare your meals specifically to your requirements (please notify us in advance). Many of your dinners will include freshly caught Alaskan seafood such as salmon, crab and halibut.
