Day 1: Arrive San Jose
On arrival in San Jose, you will be met by our local representatives and privately transferred to your stylish hotel for your overnight stay, where you can relax, recuperate from your flight and look forward to your imminent adventures.
Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero National Park
After your departure from San Jose, you will be driven through the spectacular Braulio Carrillo National Park, stopping in Rio Danta for a delicious breakfast. A two-hour boat ride through the canals will take you to your lodge.
Days 3 - 4: Tortuguero National Park
Tortuguero's surrounding network of rainforest and canals is home to manatees, crocodiles, tapirs, jaguars, monkeys and sloths. The protected stretch of beach is one of the largest and most important green turtle nesting grounds, serving as a refuge for leatherbacks and hawkbills turtles.
Day 5: Tortugero - Arenal
After a final breakfast overlooking Rio Tortuguero, you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your 25-minute flight to La Fortuna. Arriving into La Fortuna, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the stunning views.
Day 6 - 7: Arenal Volcano Hike & La Fortuna Waterfall
Take a gentle hike along the lower slopes, for the most extraordinary views of Arenal Volcano. Visit the beautiful la Fortuna waterfall, a series of steps lead to the base of the falls where the rushing water plunges into an aquamarine pool where you can take a quick dip to cool off.
Day 8: Arenal - Monteverde
Today after breakfast, you will be met by your driver who will drive about 25 minutes to the shores of Lake Arenal, and board a boat for a scenic 45 minute crossing. Arriving on the other side, another driver will pick you up for the 1h30 onward drive up the hills until you reach Monteverde.
Day 9: Curi-Cancha Reserve
Home to a wide variety of birds, including hummingbirds, finches, and elusive resplendent quetzals. Mammals such as coatis, agoutis, and white-faced monkeys are often spotted. Wild cats such as puma and ocelot are also known to inhabit the reserve but sightings are very rare.
Day 10: Monteverde - Osa Peninsula
This morning you will be met and transferred back to San Jose airport for your flight to Puerto Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula. On arrival into Puerto Jimenez, you will be transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure to settle into your stunning surroundings.
Day 11 - 12: Osa Peninsula
The Osa Peninsula is the only place in Costa Rica where you will encounter 4 species of monkey. Choose from a number of on-site guided tours included in your stay; early & sunset bird tours, wild waterfall, local medicine hike, rain forest ridge walk, Osa trail, matapalo tour and night walks.
Day 13: Osa Peninsula - San Jose
Today you will be transferred back to Puerto Jimenez in order to catch your flight back up to San Jose. From here you connect onto your international departure flight.

The guides in Costa Rica were brilliant especially in Arenal Hanging Bridges and Curi-Cancha! They adjusted the walks to suit me and I learned a lot about the areas and Costa Rica in general. The app was very useful & I enjoyed doing a quick journal each day. T I particularly liked Lomas Del Volcan where the food was superb and Kunken Lodge which was in a beautiful setting. It was an excellent itinerary with a very good backup locally. Quality service!
