Tierra Chiloé

18 kilometres from Castro, you will find here the Pullao Wetland where dozens of endemic birds and marine species can be spotted. A transfer from the airport in Castro takes about 30 minutes.

The rooms are all alike (although some are very slightly larger, built to fit harmoniously with the natural landscape. Room fittings and furnishings are kept simple and tasteful, combining the traditions of the archipelago with modern living with a use of fine woods and locally crafted materials. Inside your room you will find a sumptuous bed on polished wooden floors, a small seating area and a magnificent picture window and views to Quinchao Island and the interior sea Amenities include a hairdryer and a safe box. On the ground floor there is a long, raised restaurant and just below it an expansive seating area and bar. There is also a small wine tasting room downstairs. Make sure to take a dip in the lodge's heated outdoor swimming pool to relax after a long day of activities.

Technically there are ten excursions on the ‘menu’ so to speak, from kayaking, biking and horse-riding to visiting the local fishing village of Dalcahue, local artisan markets or the sunken forest of Chepu. Your head guide will discuss options with you. The lodge also has its own boat dedicated to guest activities – a voyage is essential for those wishing to truly immerse themselves in this special destination where land meets sea.

A stay here is on an all-inclusive basis, so you don’t need to worry about how much you eat or drink. A majority of produce is locally sourced, with a menu based around what the chef could find that day and the owner Maria Jose, is always around offering you some of the tastiest Pisco Sours you will find in the whole of Chile.
