A wild safari throughout Argentina's most prolific wildlife areas, from the Valdes Peninsula to Esteros del Ibera. Starting with the roar of cascading water at beautiful Iguassu, you then head to Esteros del Ibera, where you may see capybara and caiman in Argentina’s answer to the Pantanal as well as abundant birdlife and perhaps even a glimpse of the elusive Jaguar! In Peninsula Valdes you can see the largest colonies of elephant seals in the world, colonies of lovable Magellanic penguins and southern right whales before returning to the thrilling city of Buenos Aires.
You still start your adventure by arriving in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before connecting to an afternoon flight to the stunning waterfalls of Iguassu. This side of the falls is more of an extensive network of paths and trails taking you to within touching distance of the falls. You'll venture to the furthest point and the largest and most spectacular of all of the cascades – The Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo). You may opt to take a boat trip which can bring you close to the base of the falls and which can be a wet but entertaining experience. There are also some safari trails, allowing you to see the local flora and fauna such as coati, hummingbirds and toucans in the nearby sub-tropical rainforest.
Experience horse riding in the marshlands amongst the flora and fauna, nature walks, bike rides, bird watching, boat rides and night safaris to maximise your wildlife experiences. This is a wetland habitat, similar to the Pantanal in Brazil, although not as large or as developed. There may be sightings of wildlife, such as caimans and, if you’re lucky you may even spot a jaguar. Bird lovers will also find this area abundant with over 300 different species, including some that are endangered, such as black and white monjita and yellow cardinal.
Argentina’s colourful capital city. The architecture, shady plazas and green open spaces of this iconic city leave visitors feeling that they are in Europe and not South America; it’s little wonder Buenos Aires is often dubbed the 'Paris of the Americas'. We will show you the President's Palace, The Congress Building and one of the finest examples of architecture in the city, the Colon Theatre. Stroll through the quirky antique district of San Telmo, before being taken to Esquina Carlos Gardel in the evening for a live tango show.
