Chisa Busanga Camp

Kafue National Park

Hidden away in the trees, the Chisa Busanga Nests weave together luxury and romance while immersing you in the enchanting wilderness of the Busanga Plains. In the local Nyanja language, 'Chisa’ means bird’s nest and the nest-like rooms at this camp stand in the treetops on stilts.

Wooden steps lead you to your haven in the trees, which is lined in canvas tenting and fitted with a modern en-suite bathroom and king size bed covered in soft linens. The four Nests, perched four meters above the ground and sheltered by terminalia trees, are designed to provide guests with not only opulent comfort but also sweeping views of the surrounding landscapes.

The Busanga Plains are vast open grasslands. The wetland landscape attracts masses of birdlife, including cranes, herons and other waders. As the water dries, the grasslands increasingly start to attract other wildlife; herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope wildebeest, cheetah, wild dogs and spotted hyena.
