Short Fly-In Safari

With only a short time to get away, this is the perfect trip which you will always remember. Fly into Entebbe and straight onto Bwindi Impenetrable National Park so you can start tracking the gorillas the next day. Still allowing for 2 full gorilla tracks so you can maximise your time with these wonderful creatures and also take some time to experience the area or relax at your lodge.

Entebbe - Bwindi

Upon your arrival into Entebbe International Airport you are met and then will catch your onward internal flight to Kihihi airstrip in Bwindi. Met by your expert guide upon arrival, you transfer a short distance (approx. 45mins) to the lovely Bwindi Lodge. A chance to relax, admire the views over the forest and enjoy a self-guided river walk, before preparing for your gorilla tracking in the morning.

Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

The gorillas we are allowed to track belong to one of only a few habituated family groups. For up to five years each, these groups have undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually brought them to tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. The gorillas are by no means tame, and are completely wild animals. However, experienced guides will accompany you on your tracking, many of whom have been involved in the habituation process themselves. The guides will use their knowledge of the gorillas' habits and information from the previous day to locate the group's whereabouts. You would prefer, you could enjoy forest walks around Bwindi, visit the Bwindi Community Hospital, visit the Ride 4 a Woman Community Sewing Project, go birding, or explore the exciting Batwa Trail.
