Over eight incredible days, you’ll explore pristine landscapes, from the seasonal swamps of the Kweene River system to the world-renowned Okavango Delta, known for its exceptional wildlife. Day 1, Maun to Kweene River

After touching down in Maun, your adventure truly begins with an exhilarating helicopter ride over Botswana’s stunning landscapes, offering breathtaking aerial views as you soar towards your first camp. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your dedicated expedition team and private guide, who will introduce you to the remarkable journey ahead. After settling into your camp, the excitement continues with your first taste of the African wilderness on an afternoon game drive.

Day 2, Exploring the Kweene Trails

Today you have the total flexibility to decide on your experiences with your private guide. You can explore the waterways by mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe) – a great vantage point for watching elephant towering over you as they drink from the water. You can head out in the jeep or opt for an exhilarating walking safari.

Day 3, Intercamp Transfer

Set out on an unforgettable journey as you explore the untamed wilderness en route to your next camp. With total flexibility in how you travel, you can choose to walk through the bush, glide peacefully along the waterways by mokoro, or embark on an exhilarating game drive—or even experience a mix of all three. As you traverse the diverse landscapes, from woodlands to floodplains, keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife that calls this area home.

Day 4, Explore North Kweene River

As the day draws to a close and the golden light of sunset fades, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to embark on your first night drive, a thrilling experience that reveals a whole new side of the wilderness. As the jackals begin to call and the stars emerge in the darkening sky, you’ll set out in search of nocturnal creatures that come to life after dusk. Keep your eyes peeled for the stealthy genet, the elusive serval, and the playful bush babies, all while being serenaded by the distant hooting of owls.

Day 5, Intercamp Transfer

Feel the excitement build as the rhythmic beat of the helicopter propellers signals the start of your journey to your next camp. As you lift off, you’ll be treated to breathtaking aerial views of Botswana’s stunning landscapes below. From winding waterways to vast floodplains, this flight offers a truly unique perspective on the wilderness you’ve been exploring. With the doors off (but seatbelts on, of course), this transfer also provides the perfect opportunity for some incredible aerial photography.

Days 6 – 7, Exploring the Delta Camp

Over the next two days, you’ll be immersed in some of the most extraordinary game viewing Botswana has to offer. As you explore the area, you may come across the elusive sitatunga or graceful sable antelope hidden among the papyrus reeds. Keep your eyes peeled for a playful pack of wild dogs or a leopard draped lazily across the branches of a tree, enjoying the shade.

Day 8, Okavango Delta – Depart Maun

Today signals the conclusion of your off-the-beaten-path adventure, as you make your way back to Maun. After days spent exploring some of Botswana's most remote and untouched wilderness, you’ll return with unforgettable memories of your expedition.

Arriving in time for your international flight home, you’ll have one last chance to reflect on the extraordinary wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes, and the unique experiences that made this journey so special.
