Botswana gives you the chance for wildlife viewing in a myriad of ways by air, jeep, on foot and in the water.

You’ll be stunned by the starry night skies in the private Selinda Concession, renowned for exceptional game viewing, including resident wild dog dens and huge elephant herds.

If you are travelling during from December to March, you’ll have the chance to witness second largest migration in Africa, as the Plains Zebra from the Okavango Delta to the Makgadikgadi Pans in search of nutrient rich grasses and abundant water. Following in their hoof-prints in search of easy prey, lion, leopard and hyena follow. These camps offer world class guiding, service and opulent luxury.

Day 1: Arrive Maun - Selinda Concession

Upon your arrival in Maun, you’ll board a light aircraft for a picturesque flight north to the stunning Selinda Reserve, where breathtaking views of the delta and its winding waterways will set the tone for your journey. Upon landing, you’ll be warmly welcomed and escorted to your accommodation, where you’ll settle into your charming, 1920s-style safari tent.

The romantic atmosphere, with its vintage charm and luxurious touches, provides the perfect introduction to your unforgettable Botswana adventure. As you unwind, take in the tranquillity of the surrounding wilderness, a serene start to your safari experience.

Day 2-3, Exploring the Selinda Concession

You will explore the private 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve game drives in the company of your expert guide. Look out for lion, hippo, buffalo and elephant here as well as the rare Eland.

Beyond traditional game drives, there are a variety of activities to enrich your experience, including guided bush walks where you can immerse yourself in the landscape, scenic helicopter flights for a bird’s-eye view of the reserve (available at an additional cost), fishing, canoeing along the peaceful waterways, and thrilling night drives to witness the reserve's nocturnal creatures in action.

Day 4: Selinda Concession - Okavango Delta

Today, you will say your farewells to the Selinda Spillway as you take to the skies for a scenic flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your luxurious accommodation, where a refreshing dip in your private plunge pool offers the perfect way to unwind after your journey. Once refreshed, head out on an afternoon adventure to explore the delta’s rich wildlife, keeping an eye out for leopards lounging lazily in the trees or packs of wild dogs on the hunt.

Days 5-6, Exploring the Okavango Delta

Over the next two days, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a wide array of activities as you explore the vibrant ecosystems nestled among the ilala palms and the small islands of the Okavango Delta.

From the sight of otters gliding serenely through the papyrus reeds to the thrilling spectacle of tsessebe antelope darting across the vast floodplains, every moment promises a new discovery.

Day 7, Okavango Delta to Makgadikgadi Pans

Take to the skies once more as you head towards the vast and remote wilderness of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred by an exciting game drive through the park, leading you to your iconic, campaign-style tent set on the edge of the mesmerising, shimmering desert.

This unique location provides an extraordinary setting to begin your exploration of one of Botswana’s most captivating landscapes.

Days 8-9, Exploring the Makdagikgadi Pans

Enjoy day and night game drives in search of unique desert wildlife such as the brown hyena, oryx, Kalahari lion, aardvark, porcupine, honey badger and bat eared fox. Discover the secrets of the salt pans from the Zu/’hoasi Bushmen as you walk with them in nature.

Meet one of the few mobs of habituated meerkats as they come out of their burrows to warm their bellies in the sun.

Day 10: Depart Maun

At a time that will be confirmed locally, you will be transferred back to the nearby airstrip for your scenic flight to Maun. This journey will be carefully timed to ensure you arrive in Maun with ample time to check in and prepare for your onward international flight.

Relax and reflect on your unforgettable safari experience as you travel back, taking in any final glimpses of the breathtaking Botswana wilderness before your departure.

This camp offers romantic 1920’s style décor set in the permanent waterways of the Selinda Spillway, which is the perfect retreat after a days’ wildlife viewing. The authentic canvas tents sit on a raised decking but still close to the ground. The small size of the camp means friends’ and family groups are able to take over the whole camp for a private safari experience.
